Fireworks / Dreamweaver HELP!
How can I make an HTML page flush with the top left of the browser window? I'm using Dreamweaver 3, Fireworks 3 and BB Edit 5 to create the web page. Even though the boarders are set to "0", I can't ge the frame to set flush top or left. The html page was created by exporting from Fireworks, so the actual web page is broken down by cells within a single frame. It's the frame itself that is not setting flush with the left edge or top of the web browser.

If anyone has suggestions, I can email or post the HTML file if necessary. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

My apologies, please replace the term "Frame" with "Table". It's the Table that I cannot get to sit flush top left. Thanks. -m

There's a way of doing this through Cascading Style Sheets. Copy this code before the HEAD tag in you're HTML code:

< style type="text/css" >
< !--
TABLE {
border: 0px;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
}
//-- >
< /style >

You'll have to get rid of the spaces before and after the less than and greater than symbols to get it to work. And next time, please post this in the proper forum.

Here's what I was given as an easy solution that works.
<body leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">

that will remove the page margins

in dreamweaver right click the space and click properties then put 0 in the relevant margins.

hope that helps

that's funny...<body leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">

I wonder why the html code didn't diplay. Did the thread read it as html and discard it? Anyway, hopefully you can see it above now.

it's not displaying the code in text form. Let me try parentheses.
(<body leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">)

One more try... lol. And I thought margins were difficult.
<
body leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0"

Success. ok, is this the best way to handle margins. I was also told that I can do the same thing with - body { margin : 0px 0px 0px 0px; padding:0px; }

Thank again. -m

Sorry if my editing confused you. This should work with frames, tables, body text <i>et alia</i> as long as you replace the TABLE part with whatever you need.

And yes, you're solution will work too, but CSS is a much better way of doing things, especially if you're page has a common theme throughout.
