Windows Ding in vb
Im working on making a chat program in vb6.

I have unfortunately ran into a barrier...

I have made it where the chat program plays a wav file whenever it receives a message, but it also plays a windows "ding."

for instance.....

user types message they want to send, then presses enter ... Ding on the sender's end, not the receiver....

its like its a confirmation that the code executed or something.

anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of this?

Thanks.

correction on the above post......

the box that the user types in their message, it only dings when you press enter.. it doesnt ding when you actually press the "send" button.
