not that I know of. If you hear of a way, let me know!

I'm just corroborating your own findings, unfortunately, not giving you a resolution!

What do you mean by a lot at one time? Are you trying to create an index of images? If you just "throw" them in there the editor will not know if you want to put them in a table, use as a background or whatever. I would say there is no option.

For example in Frontpage when u select
Insert > Picture > From File
U can CTRL+Click and select multiple pictures at the same time.
In Dreamweaver u can only select one at a time.

I want to put one picture after the other or put them in a table with each picture going into a separate cell. It doesn't really matter, altho the second way is probably more complicated.

Do it in frontpage then copy the code over?

I've nevre used FP so I don't know

but you could do it in PHP if the picture names are in numerical order like pic1.gif, pic2.gif, pic3.gif

I'm not sure of a way to do it in a program liek you would like.

I thought of doing it in FP but it seems stupid that Macromedia couldnt include a simple option like that...

I believe that's because dreamweaver is more of a professioanl design tool, I don't know.

I'll agree with you Soldier, it is stupid that they don't include it. Maybe they figure the layout would be totally crap with a multiple image import.

What I would do is import the image, and then copy the code, just changing the image name at the end of it.

No sense at all doing it in FP, ansd then copying it into DW, might as well just stay with FP.

Sure, but if I need to insert 50 pics each one having a totally different name, it would take a lifetime to change all the names. Maybe theres an Image Gallery option in DW somewhere?

If the server has PHP support, you wouldn't have to rename them. You could enter the filetype of the images, and have it loop through all the files in the directory and display the images. I have done this with text files before.
