Scanning surveys into a database
Has anyone done this? or heard of doing it? We send out survey cards, and they circle the answers and mail them back. Is there any software programs that would allow us to scan the images and then save the answers into a database or text file?

Thanks

Yep. The UK Census is sorted using this very method. An Optical Character Recognition system may work, to an extent. A better method would be to get the person(s) to put a hole through the page in a box next to the answer, so that the scanner can detect the light.
