POS/Back Office/Inventory System
We are developing a new pos (point of sale)/back office system for our retail clothing company. I would like to use SQL as the database language but am unsure as to which language I should use to actually program the system.
I have used ACCESS in the past and it works OK but hear it would be too slow for our needs (we have around 40 stores).
Any ideas as to what the best language (Basic, C++, Fortran, etc.) would be? We would need input forms, reports, etc. Thanks.

Power Builder, or a .NET language.
