redirecting

How can I make a page redirect to another page automatically? For example, the user opens index.html, and browser automatically redirected to home.html . Using only HTML or Javascript.

add this in the head section:

<meta HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="0;URL="page_to_redirect_to">
