printing options on websites???
i want people to be able to print our webpages you know like printer freindly (at the mo it includes the left hand nav bar and misses half the info of on the right hand side)

Is there a special code to use or would it mean doing a special user friendly page for each thing which of course would be hugley time consuming to do

No. Most people just make a new page with black text and the pics stripped out.

However, I think you could create a special CSS file and get a Javascript to switch to it, and then get another script to initiate a print request.

The easiest way is to just create a second page that is the printer friendly page.

You can have a css file just for printing. You don't have to switch it or anything. It will only be used when printing.

In addition to the normal stylesheet, just use an external stylesheet just for printing.

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="print" href="print.css" />
