Visual Basics & Access 2000
hey all.

i need help here.

i have 2 forms in vb. on the main form i have a command button name "view all". on the second form, i have a datagrid and adodc.

when i press view all, it will open up the second form and all the recordsets from the access database will populate the datagrid.

it populates the datagrid, but i need the information to be sorted by last name in ascending order.

i know this is vague, but any help will be greatly appreciated..

thank you..

When you specify the table name in the RecordSource property you get whatever sort order was defined when the table was created, usually the first index. Instead, code the SQL statement into the RecordSource property and specify whatever sort order you want using the "ORDER BY" clause.
