Website feedback please
(I posted this in the "Review" section before I noticed this forum :P so I figured I would post it here also)

I just recently started web programming and I just got my site up with forums and all that fun stuff. I plan to add more later, but I'm trying to get some feedback or suggestions for things I can do. I haven't had success yet because the boards I've posted on have been more of the "your a noob" sites. But I was hoping I could get some feedback. Also, I have forums up so if anyone wants to register feel free, the more people the better

the site is www.the3rdcircle.com

Is there more than just the spinning stuff

It probably should say 'click' to enter?

Get rid of the intro page. It serves absolutely no purpose.

I like the graphic on the front page but it should say ENTER somewhere. Once entered it is a pretty good site, however it is not exactly clear what the site is all about. I think you should put that somewhere. Other then that, all is good.

get rid of the sound. I'm on DSL and it took over 15 secs to load it up. Plus it's annoying to have on all the time. If you like the sound, then play a 1-3 sec clip, and then have a button to have people turn it on and off.

Same as others above, add a "Click here to enter" on the splash page.

Definitely have information on the home page saying what your site is about. Conspiracy theories????

Forum is very dark and unfriendly.

Just opinions!

Ditch the intro page, it looks like a giant sphincter winkin' at ya.

LOL, great feedback guys! I've toyed with the idea of getting rid of both the intro page and the sound or at least cutting down the sound a bit. The page isn't conspiracy theories, it's news from valid sources that doesn't always end up on the front pages.

Anyone register for the forums?

Edit: What could be added to the page after the intro? I feel like I should add something just to take the space, but people running at low resolutions have trouble with too much. The sound has varied for a few people, I've had people tell me it loads right away and some say it takes forever. Right now I'm just trying to get some poeple on the boards and get it going

Sounds like a conspiracy page to me. There is also a disinformation section as well. I need the aluminum foil hat so they don't read my thoughts...

Bah, good info there. And I have an extra hat if you need one.

Edit: Ditched the sound until I get a smaller file, and I'm putting an "Enter" display on the index.

As said above the enter page serves no purpose and if the name is 3rd circle I can't seem to associate the picture with the name. The black background in the forum is hard on the eye's and reminds me of hacker sites. Other than that the content seems to be something I would read. And why the cookie?

Well it's not a hacker site, and that skin is just the darker skin that I decided to use. My original layout matched it, but I may change it.

Thank you all for your input!

Edit: Oh, and I need to check my code, I didn't intend to use cookies. Thanks for the heads up tho.
