easy dreamweaver question
I have a navagation bar across the top of my site that when you hover over the hypertext links, they turn a certain color, based on a CSS that was created by another designer. But in the lower part of the document, I need the links and the hover color to be a different color. How can I override the CSS or just enter the link color and hover colors manually?

thanks,

Dawn

Is it not possible to keep images in place of links and provide for rollover images?

css is handier, IMHO.

What you will need to do is set the lower links to use a different class.

Now, to have all links on your site be the same, you would have something like

a {color: #6299D0}

But if you want hover effects, you need to define them more. Below, find a style that will affect links that have the "different" class applied to them. I set the color to show by default, and when they have been visited, as well as when you hover over them.

a:link.different {
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 10px;
color: #0000CD;
}
a:visited.different {
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 10px;
color: #0000CD;
}
a:hover.different {
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 10px;
color: #A0C1E2;
}
