Daft html question
Just beginning to learn html. Lots to remember...

One thing that I can't find, though, is a way of stopping a link shown in an href= thing appearing on the page without it being underlined. Surely, there must be a way?

Please?

Ta!

check out style sheets. They give options for hyperlinks that will allow you to change that.

Put these lines in the < head > section of the page

<style>
A {COLOR: #ff0000; TEXT-DECORATION: none;}
A:hover {TEXT-DECORATION: underline; COLOR:#ddeedd; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #0000aa;}
</style>

Just forgot to mention. These are just indications of the values. Do try out other alternatives in colors, etc.

You may entirely do away with the A:hover part. It is to change the appearance when mouse moves over the link.

Cheers, Guys!

I was going to look at php, too, but I'd better learn to walk, first, ay?

Thanks, again!

. You are welcome.

You are right. Before learning any other web-technology, learn at least basic HTML. You will be more comfortable.
