net messenger vb
hello
i have recently got a very nice little visual basic program that with my limited abilities was able to adapt and change to suit my needs it sends instant messages across my LAN. this is open source code, so i am not trying to pull a fast one on anybody. all went well until i tried sending a message to my son in the next room. i can see his comp and the two others in the house. the program tells me the message is sent , but alas , he doesn't recieve anything. i am running xp pro and have a d-link 4 port router with cable hookup. if anyone could help with this , i would appreciate it
i am new to VB so type REAL SLOW, lol
thank you

Under XP pro, Go to Administrative tools/services. Then scroll down to Messenger and see if it is enabled on his machine.
