My web site
I've been working on a personal web site and would like some one to take a look and see if there is anything I can do to make it easier to navigate.

I have have some feedback just not from people who write html. I am still learning and am JUST now mastering tables (so be gentle with that one, ok I will take suggestions just make sure it's written as plainly as what they write at the

site.

I have noticed that the background graphics take a bit of time to load compared to my personal graphics. (at least on my computer).

Anyway, here is the site:

Since you are still at the beginning of HTML and just learning tables it will be a little more difficult to make the navigation easier.

One thing you might want to do is make a table at the top and have the links at the top, like horizontally. Like at the top right of this page "Home | Forums | Rules | Chat | Donate!"

Also you may wany to consider carrying the same general design over all the pages instead of somthing different on each page.

Finally, your images may be really large and can be optimized with graphics software to make them smaller but not lose the quality.

Actually both tripod and angelfire are both part of the Lycos network.

What's wrong with Lycos? I like the setup better than yahoo's geocitie's. I tried multiple folders that are set up like I have the ones for my cats and the geocities site wouldn't let me do that.

And I can't do anything that requires paying for anything at this point. My ISP is SBC/Yahoo. If I get an ISP that allows me to have a web site, then I will transfer over assuming I can do the multi layer. Liz

Not bad at all for a first site, as snake-eyes said though you could do with a set layout and style for each page. If your really into learn about HTML you could progress with Style Sheets, they're pretty easy and make life so much easier (bad english there!) Will post back with the links I used to learn them when i can find them.

Other than that, watch out on Pams page some of the pictures towards the botom are over the text.

Very nice though!

I'm looking at the page on a 1024 x 768 setting. And to me, the pictures and text aren't bleeding over. Is it bleeding over on a different resolution? Liz

Try out www.150m.com

although they dont allow files over 1 meg to be loaded for free.

Its just a thing. Ya know? Cookies, etc. Then again, yours is a personal site, right? if so, you can probably just stay with them.

http://forums.techguy.org/showthread...2&goto=newpost. Just go thru this post to know about the problems faced by a user with Tripod. If the site is even little important, I would suggest a personal domain like a .info which is as cheap as US $ 6 a year. It can then be hosted for free with any of the following.

http://www.150m.com
http://www.freeservers.com

Whenever you become even a little more serious, you can switch over to paid hosting within 48 hours. Also, if you are not satisfied with one free host, you can switch over to another one within the same time. But I would recommend spending a little money and have the site permanently rather than lose it and repent later.
