downloadable files
I have a question. If I want my website to have a page that has "training" documents, that I want my employees to click on and download for their usage, what is that called? And how do I go about doing that? Thanks
Katrina

Not really sure what that means?

On your webpage you can just link to the file

Code:
<a href="http://www.website.com/filedir/filename.exe">Click here to download</a>
That's what you'd want to do, changing the address to your file location.

Try putting the files in a zip file. My site won't allow downloads of certain file types.

All you need do is make a link to the folder that contains the files. So, if you had a web page whose address was: www.webpage.com, and you had a folder named "downloads" inside of the folder containing that page, and a pic inside the downloads folder, the address would just be:

www.webpage.com/downloads/pic.jpg

But if you can get the word documents, you are already doing it right. You as well just zip the files. That way people will need to download them to some location on their computers and will have them for later reference.

That doesn't make any sense. I'm not sure why that wouldn't work, can you link us to your site so I can take a look maybe?

If not, waht does it do when you click the linkk?
