Deployable macros on any machine???
Hello everyone,

I do a lot of tech work in the area that I'm living and I've noticed that one of the main problems is that people don't do the maintenance they should (no big secret there). I was wondering if I can deploy macros to open up utilities on any OS and set them up as a new task. Example...I want to deploy an application that will update, scan, and eliminate spyware, without user input, so the individual won't worry about doing the legwork, but just leave their computer on to do the maintenance. Can you set up "stand-alone" macros without running a third party application that you might have to pay a license fee? If I have to learn a language (C+, VBasic)...no problem.

That is a huge problem because there is a user variable in the mix. Getting them to keep their computer on when the tasks are to run, complaints because they need to work and cannot while the utilites run. Task scheduler works fine for most tasts as long as they have startup switches for unattended running of the application.

Do it with task scheduler, and a free macro program.. http://members.ij.net/anthonymathews/MacroMaker.htm

Tis the easiest and possibly best solution..

Hey you can run adaware from the command line... http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=4041

And spybot
http://www.safer-networking.org/inde...=faq&detail=30

so just make a batch file and schedule it to run with task scheduler.

Hmm, if I set this up on all the PC's I sell, I'd be outta a job fixing them all the time.
