Question What's the best editor for PHP or ASP webpage Dev.
I currently edit webpages in Frontpage and sometimes code raw HTML from scratch in notepad.

I'm starting to get into more sofisticated PHP and MySql webpages and want to know what to use as the best editor or your recommendations.

Frontpage is giving me grief with PHP.

Directions appreciated.

Thanks for the info.

Directly from a review ...."However, I should emphasize that it is not a graphic development tool such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver. HTML-Kit is still a text editor, albeit a very powerful one."

I'll look at it regardless, I was thinking more along the lines of a graphical editor.

Don't think anything like that exists. I just use Crimson Editor, and a copy of the official PHP documentation to make what I need.

Although, you could use Mozilla Composer (Built into Mozilla) to make a basic layout, and plug the PHP code into that yourself.
