DOS rename glitch
I am a beginner and am writing a batch program that, among other things, will need to take all pdf files in a particular folder, and rename them all at once to yymmdd_1.pdf, yymmdd_2.pdf etc. Any help would be appreciated.

try writting a C/C++ prog
try writting a C/C++ prog .
the commands that would be helpfull to u would be
1] "findfirst " its prototype and syntax check in <DIR.H>;
this command will open a directory and searches for all the .pdf files .
2] use "ren" command to rename files.
