Help! I'm not a programmer but was hoping some of you programming people could help me. I'm at the end of my rope! How do I get scripting error messages to stop popping up while I'm browsing the web? They are messages stating Line, Character, Expected Object, etc. and then asks if I want to continue running scripts on this page. I just click them off and they don't appear to be affecting anything. It's getting maddening because it isn't happening on any particular page - just most of the them!!!

If you're using Internet Explorer (which I'm assuming you are) there should be a setting in there somewhere that will keep those annoying alerts from popping up.

I'm not sure on the actual location because I only use Firefox.

Tools/Internet Options

Advaced Tab

Under Browsing there are 2 options, Disable Script Debugging and Display a notification for every script error. Make sure the first is checked and the second isn't.

I am using IE6. If you are referring to the Error Reporting option, I already had that turned off, but the script error messages still come. I've considered trying another browser but Netzero, my ISP, doesn't work well with anything else (at least that is what their info page says - maybe I'll give it a try anyway).
