Unhappy Resource file cursor problem...
I have a 32x32 256 color cursor that I want to add to a VB resource file. The problem is that when it gets added, it changes the entire cursor to black. Any ideas?

What I would really like to do is to save an icon file in the resource. If anybody knows how to do this also, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tim

Here's your cursor converted to icon. I have uploaded it in a zip. It works here in this project. Test it out for yourself.

Open the resource editor. Use addins>Addin manager and load the resource editor.
Look at the icons you have on the toolbar and find the one for Add Icon. Guide to the icon you want to use. I am assuming here it will be the first icon you have loaded and so will be 101. You are going to use the icon as the Mouse Pointer for the form. Here's how.

Code:
Private Sub Form_Load()
 Dim objIcon   As StdPicture
 Set objIcon = LoadResPicture(101, vbResIcon)
 Set Me.MouseIcon = objIcon
Me.MousePointer = vbCustom

End Sub
