Stand alone database
I am looking for the best program for writing stand alone databases. I am a beginner and am looking for something like Foxpro but a lot cheaper. I'm am tired of trying to connect to databases like Access and MySQL. I would like something that I can run right from an application. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

If your requirements are modest, consider the database features of 1-2-3 or Lotus Approach. If you need more power take a look at C++ Builder or Delphi.

C++ builder looks promising. Does the software come with some kind of database app? How does that work? Also, would it be better to go with C#.net. The code looks a lot like the Java I have used in the past. What database apps come with Visual.Net. I would like to just create a database windows app, then complile it so that it can run on any computer. My budget is around 100-150. Thanks for all the help!
