Displaying date
Hi Guys
Easy one for you (I Hope). How would I get the current Date to display on a form (Visual Basic) when I open it?
Thanks in advance

Is this Access?
If so then You can use a text box, set it's format to "short date" and it's default value to =date. The alternative is if you just want to display the current date (it changes each day) then add the =now() function to the form footer. The easiest way to get a =now() is to create a report and it includes one on the report footer, which you can copy and paste. Access help is useless when you try to find Date functions.

Gus, what's with the Buddy? I take it you are in Wales, UK. I am in Swansea.
Is the vb VB6? If so it should have a very similar function statement to now().

Hi Mate
Well Well I am in The Swansea Institute on town hill, small world, I am from Aberavon Port Talbot.
This is for the other project I am doing that you are helping me with now (The withdrawal/ deposit thing.
I just thought it would be tidy to have the current date on the form when it is run. It is VB6 yes.
I always say "buddy" as there are lots from the states that help but I think "Butty" would be more appropriate lol.
Have to go taking the daughter to Swansea this morning funny enough.
Will catch you later and thanks for the help mate

Cheers

Gus
