MySQL 4.1 new install - php connect issues
hello,

I just installed the MySQL 4.1 db server on my local machine for development purposes. My php file is now giving me the following arroe when trying to connect to the db:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client in C:\Apache_Group\Apache2\htdocs\patrick\p_admin\admin_news.php on line 22

line 22 is $db = mysql_connect($sql_host, $sql_user, $sql_pass);

the code works fine on the live site, but i'm assuming it's something in this new installation?
