Solved: Format a Label
Hi Guys
I want to display a value in a label as currency.(Visual Basic 6) I have changed the properties of the label to currency, but it just doesnt work it will still display for example as 2.50 when I want it to be £2.50.

Any Ideas would be great

Cheers

Gus

Can't You add the £ sign to the format by adding to the format in quotes i.e. "£" or by using \£.

Hiya Mate

I did that but for some values I got a return of 0. when I took the "£" sign off they worked ok. Not sure why.

Cheers

Hi Gus, how is the course going?
It probably returned a zero value because it treated it as a string.
For formatting you could set it as string and then for calculations use the Val() function.

Hi Mate

Course going great, 3 weeks left thank god. I will leave it as it is, tutor said he's more interested in the coding etc which all works fine, (partly thanks to your help which I appreciate). I have to do a test plan now what a nightmare that is. Got a week to finish it, along with a network exam, Systems analysis assignment, create a database for a hoilday firm, a 5 page website, and a 3000 word report on upgrading pc's lol.
ahhhhhh, piece of cake, lol.

Got most of them finished ne way.

Roll on the Hols.

Thanks again mate

Gus
