Output Ascii Code
How do I output ascii code on mscomm? Suppose I want to send the ascii value of 8 (which is 56). I have the following code

Private Sub Command1_Click()
ascii = Asc(Text2.Text)
MSComm1.Output = ascii
End Sub

The problem is that the output is sending two bytes rather than just one. It is sending a 5 and then a 6, I would like it to send one byte, 56. How can I do this?
