What are Network API's?
Can some one highlight on Network API's? Any examples which can be helpful in further research of Network API's. I have used Winsock2.h library, but not sure if network Api's and Winsock2 library is the same.

Thanks so much.

Hi sonia_julka,

You may find useful API's on this site : http://www.codeguru.com/ .
Application Program Interface is a tool that prevents the programer from reinventing the powder.
Winsock2.h is a header file or library which can be part of an API (e.g. the WINSOCK API : http://www.vbip.com/winsock-api/reso...sresources.asp )

Network API is seperate from the Sockets API. Network api functions typically use the (Lm.h)Netapi32.lib rather than the (winsock2.h)winsock.lib.

search Network Management Functions in sdk msdn lib for more info. As post above suggests codeguru (or codeproject) have some examples
