algorithm?
I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this...

i'm writing a program in c++ that associates a users input with an x, y coordinate system. at this point i've got 9 'if' statements. I'm wondering if there's an algorithm that I could use to make things easier; here are the associations.
x y
0 - 0,0
1 - 0,1
2 - 0,2
3 - 1,0
4 - 1,1
5 - 1,2
6 - 2,0
7 - 2,1
8 - 2, 2

thanks

Here's a hint: Use an array.

struct point
{
int x ;
int y ;
} ;

typedef struct point POINT ;

...

static POINT location[] = { { 0, 0 }, { 0, 1 }, { 0, 2 }, ... } ;
