Unhappy VBS script and Outlook passwords
Hello,

I use the following vbs script to change passwords on workstatiuons:

Set oUser = GetObject("WinNT://workstation-name/user-name,user")
If Err = 0 Then
'reset the password
oUser.SetPassword "new-password"
'save the change
oUser.SetInfo
End If

The user password changes fine, however, the passwords of the internet mail accounts in Outlook get blown away. Does anyone know why? Is the a vbs script which I could use to set the passwords of the internet mail accounts in Outlook?

Thanks.

Internet mail accounts being non hosted exchange ones and this gets changed along with the workstations so they then have to reinput their password information?

What your doing in the script hsould only affect local PC login only and really shouldn't hit outlook unless there is some kind of outlook linked exchange server?

Well from what I see posted here their email passwords shouldn't be getting changed at all. All this inteacts with is the OS level userid and password.

Could it be another part of the script causing issue?
