Database driven site -Login Page
I want to have a login page, that is access database driven for an admin side of the site.

I also want to have it set up so that they cant just save a page in their favorites and just access it without a username and password. That means that if they do save the page in their favorites, they will have to enter a username and password.

Help is much appreciated.

Would help to know what operating system your Web Server is using and what capabilities it has for Server Side Scripting.

I'm on Windows Server 2003 using IIS... I've written the rest of the site in ASP and VBscript. I would like to have the login page in ASP & VBscript or simular, because I know them.

Any thoughts?

Rofl, but very true.

@dbimen: you are going to have to do some work yourself.

What script did you use? How did you implement it? What went wrong? What was the error?

If you answer those questions than we can be more helpful on the other hand we can't do everything for you

I didn't say that I didn't want to do work. I think creating an entirely database drive site from scratch is a lot of work. I've coded it in VBscript. The asp101.com login page is entirely in ASP and I don't know asp.

I'm just looking for alternative ways to implement a login page that has users listed in the database.

If you've written VBscript then basically you've done ASP (classic, anyway). Jump in with both feet!
