Question Windows Service appeared to be running, but it was not actually running
Dear All,

I encountered a problem. A windows service I am running on my machine seemed to be running, ie started, however, actually it was not running since the processes were not outputted as planned.

Can I do some form of error tracking to counter for this problem?

Bookmark Windows SysInternals for some great tools.

Download Process Explorer for Windows v10.21.

Process Explorer will give you a colored process tree and be able to help you find out more about your processes both server and application. It is better than Task Manager and gives you a lot more information and control over your processes.

Explore and use Process Explorer, and discover and use the other tools at the website.
