annoying shaddow on text box
Hi Guys,

Something that has been getting to me for weeks now is the annoting drop shaddow on the top and left edges of a text box when i create a website. I have used the style tag and made the border colour white which made the bottom and right sides white, but not the "shaddow" on the others sides.....anyone got any ideas?

Regards,
Anthony

You don't happen to know how to get rid of it in IE do you?

Here is one input box that works in firefox...

Code:
    <input name="textfield" type="text" class="login"
id="textfield" size="10" style="background-color:#FFFFFF;
border-color:#FFFFFF; color:#000000; outline-color:#FFFFFF;
border:#FFFFFF">
I just made everything i could white, as you can tell as it started to annoy me.

Regards

I see a slight (maybe 1px) shadow on the top and left, but that is normal?

I believe you can change the styles of inputs to make them all fancy-pants, like the inputs on www.iptools.com are neat. View Source =D

I wonder tho if the cleartype in ie has something to do with it. I view mine in Advant which runs on ie and dont get the shadow but in ie i do.
I actually tried the cleartype on opened it first in ms frontpage saved it and with the clear type i get a shadow with the cleartype off i dont. its maybe worth a shot to see if thts it
