.msi files
I would like to deploy software programs to user PCs and the only way I can do this is by using group policies and MSI files. I want to know if there is a way I can make an EXE file into a MSI file.

The issue: When installing a program I dont want the user to have to click next, next, next, finish. I want to be able to deploy the installation of a program silently.

Is there a good program that I can do the step by step procedure and save it as an MSI file so it will do it automatically?

Thanks!

.MSI is the extension of Microsoft Installer aka Windows Installer. You can create an MSI with the mainstream installer applications.

You can use e.g. WIX (Windows Installer XML): http://wix.sourceforge.net/ It's free.
