Solved: Fax anyone?
Please feel free to move this thread to the appropriate forum if not appropriate here....Is it possible to Fax from the web anymore. I know I used to be able to fax documents years ago but I've forgotten how and with the advent of broadband connections is it still possible? If so how and with what applications? Windows user here, using XP with cable modem. I just hate to dig my machine out of the attic and Kinkos is so far from here. Reciepient is not able to recieve attachments other than PDF's and I dont have an application to convert to PDF's. Can someone help??

You could use fax because you had a phone line and a fax modem. Fax modems use the same line what you use when you call someone. Broadband connections (ADSL, ...) use channels, multiplexing and so on for boosting performance, so you can't send fax using them.

There are commercial sites for sending fax on the Internet. Just Google them if you can pay for it.

BTW there are free PDF creator applications, like pdf995 and CutePDF.
