file code in visual basics
(win xp, visual basics)

I would like to write a code that executes an application (.com file) in visual basics. Also, it has to have a timer (if possible), which automatically stops the application after 10 minutes. I have no idea how to do this?

What is the version of VB you are using?

The newest version... but to me it doesn't really matter.

Then it's VB.NET.

You can start an app from code with System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(). See description here.

You can drag a timer to the form from the toolbox. You can call Application.Exit() to terminate the app.
