PHP vs Python
How does PHP compare with Python and witch one is better to learn for future use?

Not being a programmer in either language , I believe Python is more of a general programming language, like C, where PHP is more of a scripting language, like Perl or ASP.

I think both would be useful to learn.

Peace...

tomdkat is correct in what they are, and which to learn would best be answered by knowing what field/fields you would like to go into, or what you're interested in programing.

in fact, both are scripting languages. @OP, learn both, and see for yourself which is better.

PHP is used for server-side srcripting and I find it very useful in web design and developement. I'm trying to learn Python at the moment (if I ever get the time) but I haven't got very far with my book, so I can't really comment on it. I would recommend learning PHP though (you will need to know HTML/XHTML).
