Translate Function Help
HI there, can anyone explain to me what this SQL ORACLE code mean, being (rep33.utc_thr) a 6 digit number. Thank You

AND TO_NUMBER(TRANSLATE(rep33.utc_thr, '0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ/,-.', '1111111111')) = '11111'

Here is documentation on the TRANSLATE function. The SQL statement above will search the string "rep33.utc.thr" for occurrences of digits, uppercase letters, and some symbols, and will replace them with the number 1. The TO_NUMBER function converts the result of the TRANSLATE function (which will be a string) to a number.

I'm not a SQL expert but I believe that is what the above SQL fragment does.

Peace...
