Question PLEASE HELP Notepad
Can anyone tell me why my note pad opens up when I try to download a apendix file from my school, when this happens I cant read it. Please tel me how to fix this problem

Redownload the program and install it that is supposed to read it. Also, what file format is it in? I'm not familiar with those files.

Im not sure what file format it is I know when it first opened it was microsoft office 2007 word processor but that was a free trial and when it expired it started opeing them in the note pad. I downloaded a new office thing from opal and it works but my appendix files from school are still opening in the note pad

Try downloading open office. That should accomplish what you need. If you must, go to trymicrosoftoffice.com

Was it a .docx file as that means its an office 2007 document in which case a forwards compatability patch can be downloaded from M$. if it was someting else with a x at the end it simply means it was saved as 2007 office document. hope this helps.
