Folder Watching

Hi Folks,

I am having some files(.txt) in a directory called as Unprocessed folder,i would like to take one by one file and send it to the processing path say it as..C:\processingfolder
Each time when an UnprocessFolder get any new file it should be sent to the processing folder.

Any Idea....thanks in advance

Hi jazz2k8,

Welcome to TSG !

Unfortunately, Java doesn't provide any tool designed to catch on-the-fly any change made in a directory.
BTW, you can build your own tool setting a Timer that will launch a thread (see TimerTask) at regular lapse of time you want. When a thread is triggered, it will parse the content of the source directory using a File instance and copy the eventually added files to the destination directory.
