You will have to acquire the SDK (Software Development Kit) for the game console in question.

I believe you can use XNA with the XBox to develop small games on it. Look for the XNA Game Studio Express, which allows XNA development on both pc and xbox+xbox 360. Any large scale game may require the professional psdk.

However, it will be very unlikely that you would be able to get the ps2 psdk as Sony only gives them out to licensed companies. To obtain the license cost alot of money. Usually Sony will only license to professional game studios.

(Also, why is this in Tech Tips & Tricks? Should it not be in the software development forum?)

Here is some information about how to make games for PS2:

Quote:
Sony also released an official homebrew-development kit that allows PlayStation 2 to run Linux. See the PS2 Linux article for more information.
