Question rather simple flash question?
before i start, sorry if this is in the wrong place, i couldnt quite decide where it went...

hey, im just starting out messing around with flash and AS3 so bear with me.

i started messing round making a mini program which has a character moving left, right, up and down around the screen, the character is controlled by the keyboard. i got that working with tut's and using uni resources.

i want to make it so the character turns and does a lil walking animation depending on the way he's travelling, i found plenty of tutorials which used the 'gotoAndPlay' function in the movieclip, but i tried a bunch of stuff and couldnt get it working, i also had a longggg mess around with the AS files using various bits of info from other websites... no luck.

ive included the files (really small) as an attachment, i dont suppose someone could have a quick look and point me in the right direction? thanks in advance

people will probably realise this, but so as not to leave any info out, click the big blue circle to spawn the character if you test the movie thanks again!

After testing your .Swf, it appears you are using a sprite as your character, do you have any other sprites of your character in different positions, so you can create the walking effect ? As well as using gotoAndPlay & gotoAndStop, you can also use the stop & play command's to achieve the effect.
