Front Pagexp
I have a web site designed in Front page. loaded from Office xp. I want to have a link on my web site that is directed to a personal calender, when I click on the link I want it to ask for a user name and password, so others cannot get into my calender. Does anyone know how to set that up?

Chad

Hi dragonlight

You might want to ask the Moderator of this group for this post to be moved into the Development forum. There are some experts there who will be able to advise as to the best way to achieve what you're after.

Mod - what d'ya think???

Hi dragonflight

Yep it has been moved - I'm certain someone willget back to you soon. I know that a regular 'expert' is away on vacation and is back in 2 days - he'll get you sorted.

this is somewhat complicated.

First does your server support php or mysql?

If your server supports PHP then you're in luck because I can help you better then if it supports ASP. BUt I will do mybest to do either one.

Let me know and I'll help out more.

NO

no and NO
that password gate is so n00bish.

im very aware of bravenet.

All it is is a page with a password on it that links to the page so it doesnt actually password protect anything. It basically password protects the link to it

well to use php or asp your server needs to support it so check with your server administrator to find out if it does.

I am also interested in a calander on my website, and would later be interested in password protecting the whole site. My server is cheap, and does not support PHP or ASP code. Is this still possible?
