background for applet
I have made a scrolling text applet eventually work
was wondering if their is code wich will give it a specific background?

Re: setting the background for applets

Do you mean the background colour? If so, making use of the

setBackground(Color.red);

method within the paint(Graphics g) section of the code may help. Obviously, RED is just one of many.

Have you tried the <a href ="http://javaboutique.internet.com/applet_index/">JavaBoutique</a> site? They have many applets, some with the source code. Their FORUM section contains an extremely useful section for asking such questions as yours.

Will look at the site, was hoping for the background to be transparent or to use an image as the background thx for repling
