Cool Advice New Program
I need to make a program that will tell the user the proper surcharge(amount of money) a person has to pay when convicted of a certain crime. They change according to what date the crime was, what kind if crime etc.I'd like to click on the crime or crimes (Of course it would have to be integrated in the program) input the date and have it tell me the proper surcharges for the crime. There might be more than one surcharge on any given crime. Our computers are windows based with java installed
What would I use I want to build a simple program.I'm willing to learn but need to be pointed in the right direction.
Thanks

This is a simple database application. If you have Office, then Access is the obvious choice, otherwise google for free alternatives. There are many guides out there to get you started with Access/database apps in general.

If you want to actually write your own program without needing to learn any new mountains of code, AutoIt, with its BASIC-like scripting language, may be useful.
