VB.net "help with odd and even numbers"
Can anyone help solving this problem? I need to write something that determines if the number is odd or even. I already know how to do this using mod. The next step is to keep it going in a loop till the number reaches 1. With the even number I can divide by 2 till this occurs. What I'm not sure about is with the odd number. We are suppose to use "number * 3 + 1 but I don't understand how this will get me the result of 1. Does this make sense to anyone?
