How do Urls and search engines...
When you change the host for your web page and you url changes with it How do you go about getting the search engines changed with it. Do I just summit the new url and the old url will go away? I went from a free web page to a web page with a shortened payed for url....

Each search engine has a form to send a bad link. DO that with your old link and submit the new one.

Even better, leave them both in the search engine and use javascript on the old site to forward people to the new site.

I did try the java. The website won't support the script to forward. Could fake it I guess and just have the new link there for them. I still may leave them both like you say. I guess I will play with it ......

Its javascript not java, and it works in all browsers. You may have not done it correctly. Or you could just use a link to the new page. Im going to report this thread and have it moved to development.
