Thumbs down Solution needed for harmful sypware on this site
I read your Read this first when having problems and it states to disable Spybot.

I have a problem, not knowing how to configure it while on Tech-guy.

Any Helpful suggestion’s?

Many others and I sure, see the notice That the two that are Harmful, those are Double-click and Avenue A, Inc. and I do block them.

When Spybot say's it’s harmful I take it as a very serious threat to my Computer.

I like this Forum very much, but I get a little shaky and nervous. Especially when it’s considered dangerous to my security and privacy and computer safety.

Thank you for your input ahead of time.

They are ads for the site to help cover expenses. They are necessary. I think if you look closely there is a way to get this site ad free

Question But Why is it a threat?
Thanks but why does it have to be Harmful? A known threat. And yet I see Advertising banners selling Spyware on this same site. Hmmmm

I don't really take them as a known threat. They are tracking cookies. It is not like you are getting a CWS HiJack or anything. Dump your cookies and they are gone. What threat is that?

I think I have your meaning. No, you are not going to download any software into your machine at this site, well cookies are software I guess. But you are not going to get HiJacked here. Doubleclick and avenue a both are tracking cookies, that is all they are here. Spybot has them on its blocked list, so spybot warns you. Tightennup your settings and spybot will quiet down. I run spybot and it never squawks here, I run a cocktail of stuff, adwatch, zone alarm pro, spyware blaster and iespyguard. I still see some of the ads, but I ignore them. They aren't the reason I come here.

Well if its just cookies why is it considered harmful or a threat? Because Spy bbot doesn't normally block safe cookies

They are cookies for advertising purposes, and thats an annoyance Spybot chooses to block, but this site isn't going to do anything harmful to your computer.
