Robotic suit helps paraplegics walk
An Israeli company develops remote-controlled suit that enables paraplegics to walk.

ReWalk, Argo Medical Technologies' robotic suit, allows people who are paralysed below the waist to stand, walk, climb and descend stairs. The system consists of motorised leg supports, body sensors, a computerised control box and rechargeable batteries The user picks a setting, then leans forward to activate the body sensors and set the robotic legs in motion.

They say that the system is "expensive" at US$ 20,000... but that doesn't seem unreasonable to me. How much is it worth to be able to walk?
