Thumbs up Buyer beware: Misleading HDMI cable labels suggest needless upgrades
Buyer beware: Misleading HDMI cable labels suggest needless upgrades.

Cable makers and dealers make money exploiting the ignorance of TV buyers

By comparison you can purchase a 6-1/2-foot "High Speed" HDMI cable from Amazonfor as little as $3.99.

I've talked about this scam for years. All the gold plated cables and the like are just snake oil and do nothing for the quality of the picture or sound in AV systems.

There really is one born a minute, and they all own gold plated "premium" cables.
