What Exactly Bluescreen Means in Windows Based Operating Systems?

I got blue screen error a couple of times while working on Windows XP and Windows 2000 Server based computers.

I want to know what exactly bluescreen means and how to fix this issue without reinstalling Windows?

Any help will be appreciated.

look here for explanation
or here

If your computer shows a Blue Screen error, you will need to describe it in more detail if you want help.

Some errors are easy to understand, some are impossible (at least for me) to figure out even after searching on the internet, not all error codes are mentioned, then I just had to re-install everythng new.
