fumble fingers
I do work on laptops. And they have the Smallest of screws. So take your small screwdriver and slide it one direction across a magnet and it will accept a slight magnetic charge. If you slide it back and fourth( like a sawing motion) it will cancel out the charge.

Nice idea BTex.

If ya need a gorilla magnet, you can make a
dozen or so wraps on a large screwdriver blade
(near the end) with 10-12 gauge insulated wire,
hold one bare end on the hot post of a vehicle
battery (usually the positive post), and arc the
other end on the vehicle frame - BUT NOT CLOSE
TO THE BATTERY!. One arc is usually enough.

Using jumper cables to get farther from the
battery is safer (for those of you who don't
know, vehicle batteries can explode around
a spark or flame).

Cheers, Mac
