The last issue for the year lists the 10 top downloads and the 100 most popular programs from the site.

ScreenSwift
allows you to convert an existing Flash movie into a professional screensaver solution. Free!

Well, this is it - the last newsletter for the year. We have compiled the list of the most popular downloads of the year. In addition to the overall Top 100 of the year, we also have a list of the most popular programs in each category. It shows you the most downloaded shareware application in a category, as well as the most downloaded freeware alternative.
The most downloaded programs are Ad-Aware and EMS Free Surfer mk II, both freeware. Swish, is the most downloaded shareware app of the year.
You can view the complete list here.

The link I posted last week for the special myWebAttack deal had a typo in it, and some of you may not have been able to get the deal. Today is your last chance to get the extra 6 months when you sign up for a year membership. The deal ends as of tomorrow morning. (If you are already a member, you can renew your existing membership early and will get the extra months as well.)
Here is the correct link http://www.mywebattack.com/enter.php

Happy New Year!

Thanks for the link T2. I found a couple good ones on there. Will have to load and ensure spyware free.

Yes that is a great site for Freeware and Shareware resources. I have found and downloaded many useful programs there and have not found any Spyware yet. There is no assurances that any linked there are spyware free so one must be careful and check for viruses\trojans before executing and run a spyware scanner after install plus pay special attention to what OS's the program covers.

I too recieve that newsletter and I agree that Free Surfer mkII is the best pop-up stopper available.
I tcan be found here: http://www.emsproject.com/FS/
It is absolutely free, no spyware, no ads and it works perfectly. Havent seen a single pop-up on my computer since. Check it out, it is way better then any other pop-up killer on the net. What I also like about it is the nice and easy to use presentation and the many cool features that it offers.
